Features of a great website

  1. Easy navigation – make sure it’s easy for a user to navigate their way around your site. They should be able to find the information they are looking for in a glance.
  2. Look like the professional you are – a smart and consistent design with a clear brand presence will mean you are showcasing your business in the best light possible. First impressions count.
  3. Think about your content - Use keywords to get a better search engine ranking, include videos and images too.
  4. Eyecatching but simple – you don’t want too many bells and whistles like flash and animated graphics as this could make your website slow to load.
  5. Make it easy to contact you – don’t hide your contact details. Make sure it’s easy for people to find you and to get in contact.
  6. Make your site search engine friendly - Find out more on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) in Yells useful stuff on SEO.
